Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

2/3 - 11/6

= 2/3 + ( additive inverse of 11/6)

=2/3 + (-11/6)

= (2×2/3×2) + (-11/6)

=4/6 + (-11/6)

Now, as the denominator are same, you will add them and get the answer i.e.,

4+(-11)/6

= -7/6

And if you want to convert it into mixed fraction, it will be: see the document.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

Answer:

Rahul is finally 7/6km away from point P towards west.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given Rahul walked towards east from a point P by 2/3km

And then walked towards the west by 11/6km.

As east and west are opposite directions, Rahul has walked back 11/6km.

If we see the problem on number line, starting from a point P, Rahul headed 2/3km towards East in positive direction.

And from there he turned towards west, this can be taken as negative value, i.e.,11/6km.

Therefore, the distance travelled by Rahul is

\dfrac{2}{3} +\bigg(-\dfrac{11}{6}\bigg)=\dfrac{2}{3} -\dfrac{11}{6}

                     =\dfrac{4-11}{6}=\dfrac{-7}{6}

Negative sign shows the direction along west, therefore, Rahul is finally 7/6km away from point P towards west.
