Answer :-

Given :-

  • Length of square room = 8 m
  • Breadth of square room = 1.5 m
  • Side of square tile = 20 cm = 0.2 m

To Find :-

  • Number of tiles required to cover the floor of her room.

Solution :-

We know that,

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

Calculating the Area of room and square tiles :-

→ Area of room = 8 × 1.5

Area of room = 12 m²

→ Area of square tiles = 0.2 × 0.2

Area of square tiles = 0.04 m²

Number of tiles required = Area of room / Area of each square tiles

= 12 / 0.04

= 300

Hence, number of tiles required to cover the floor of her room are 300 tiles.

Given :-

Rahul wants to cover the floor of the room of length 8m and 1.5m by square tiles. If each square tile is on the side 20cm,

To Find :-

The  number of tiles required to cover the floor of her room.

Solution :-

We know that

1 m = 100 cm

8 m = 8  × 100 = 800 cm

1.5 m = 1.5 × 100 = 150 cm

For area of floor

\mid\pmb{Area = length\times breadth}\mid

Area = 800 × 150

Area = 120000 cm²

For tile

\mid\pmb{Area = side^2}\mid

Area = 20²

Area = 400 cm²

No. of tiles required = 120000/400

No. of tiles required = 300 tiles
