As a teacher, would you rather an intelligent student in your class to be Shy or Disruptive?
Two questions come to the forefront of my thinking.
1. Am I a Department of Education ‘’teacher’’ (i.e. a regurgitator of the ’’party line’’ for a survival paycheck?)
Or
2.Am I a ‘’teacher’’ who would be more primarily focused on assisting an individual to be able to ascertain ‘’information masquerading as knowledge’’, from ‘’information which is knowledge’’ in the formations of decisions more firmly rooted in Truth?
If I’m a # 1, I want a shy, non-disruptive student.
If I’m a # 2, I want as much stimulated childhood intelligence as I can possible stand, because eventually they would all pitch in some little kernel of Truth, each one of them, and I would have somehow accomplished my ‘’teaching’’ standard to a somewhat satisfactory degree.
It is exceedingly difficult to be a ‘salaried teacher’ these days, because your are fed curriculum by the Department, and subjected to the seemingly unreachable aspirations of the children’s parents, or not, depending on the parents.
