Railways should be privatized. Write a view as well as a counterview.

In order to bring efficiency and accountability in the running of most sectors of the economy, the Government must exit those sectors and invite private enterprise. Cleanliness, timeliness, comfort and better catering services will all come as an automatic part of the running of the railways by reputed private companies as has been experienced by some countries of the world. 
But, certain social or service sectors must be run by the Government as, otherwise, the average population may charged beyond their means. Services such as the running of trains and public transport in cities or towns should continue to have Government involvement as that would keep the fares within manageable limits. Thus, Indian Railways is too important both for the Government and the travelling public to be transferred to private entrepreneurs.
