in west to east direction.

as the magnitude of rain drops falling

== √(12²+35²) = 37 m / sec

..so the diretion of resultant velocity vector must be with the verrtical that is tan theta inverse = 18.92 deg.

so umbrella should be pointed in direction oppo. to the reusltant velocoty of rain drops..

so it should be in 18.92 inclination towards east ...

Anonymous: bro why magnitude is rt of 12^2+35^2
rohit1741: because the reusltant velocity
rohit1741: of those rain drops will be the
rohit1741: vector sum of the rain drop speed and  the horizontal wind speed.
rohit1741: and in that we have given 12 and 35 as those 2 qunatities fulfils that.
Anonymous: R=rt of (a2+b2+2abcos theta)??
rohit1741: no.... as cos theta is 90 in that ...
Anonymous: no theta isnt 90
