Rain seems to be falling vertically to a person sitting in a bus which is moving uniformly eastwards with 10m/s. It appears to come from vertical at a velocity 20m/s. Find the speed of rain drops w.r.t ground.

When Rain seems to be falling vertically to a person sitting in a bus that is moving uniformly eastwards with 10m/s.

Then the actual value of rain fall is resultant of relative value of rain fall and the speed of the man so it will be

√( 12^2+5^2) =

13km/h.
