rain water conducts electricity but distilled water doesn't why?

Distilled water cannot conduct electricity because it does not contain ions while rain water conducts electricity as it contains ions due to presence of dissolved salts in it.

Electricity is conducted by those liquids which have ions present in them. Distilled water is pure and does not have negative / positive ions therefore it can't conduct electricity.

On the other hand, rain water has dissolved salts and acids that dissociate easily into ions. Rain water is therefore able to conduct electricity.
