Rainbow is an example for continuous spectrum because a rainbow is a natural spectrum appearing in the sky just after a rain shower.It is caused bydispersion of sunlight by tiny water droplets present in atmosphere.In rainbow there are no sharp boundaries in between colours.

A continuous spectrum contains many different colors, or wavelengths, with no gaps. Perfectly white light shined through a prism causes dispersion of the light, and we see a rainbow. ...
