Step-by-step explanation:

to find a rational number we will find the mean of 2 numbers

so

-3+2/2

-1/2

another way -3 can be written as -30/10 and 2 can be written as 20/10

so there are so many rational numbers between them

Answer:-

To Find:-

Rational numbers between (-3) and (2).

...

Method 1:-

(Mean between the two numbers)

i.e.

(r + s)/2

where,

r and s = Rational numbers

i) [-3 + 2]/2

= -1/2

ii) [-1 + 2]/2

= 1/2

iii) [-1 + 3]/2

= 2/2

= 1

Method 2:- [Recommended]

(Equivalent format)

-3/1 = (-3 × 1000)/(1 × 1000) = -3000/1000

-3/1 = (-3 × 1000)/(1 × 1000) = -3000/1000and,

-3/1 = (-3 × 1000)/(1 × 1000) = -3000/1000and, 2/1 = (2 × 1000)/(1 × 1000) = 2000/1000

(You can multiply the fraction's denominator by any number and then multiply the same number with the nunberator.)

So, we can collect many of them:-

iv) -2999/1000 = -2.999

v) 2001/1000 = 2.001

and many more.

[Upto 3000 rational numbers in this case easily.]
