Step-by-step explanation:

chair value = 100

discount = 35

net value = 100-35= 65

35= 224

65= [(224/35)=(32/5)=(6.4x65)]

raj pay = 416

total value = 416+224= 640

Answer:

416let x be the original cost of the chair

35%of x = Rs. 224

=35/100 of x = 224

=x=244*100/35

=x=22400/35

=x=640

35%=Rs. 224

the cost Raju hade to pay = 640-224=416
