Hello Dear,

This question can't be answered without options.

# Options are -

(1) 15, 25

(2) 23, 17

(3) 17, 23

(4) 17, 60

◆ Answer -

(3) 17, 23

◆ Explanation -

Let x, y and z be no of shares Raj bought in Indigo, Hul and SBI respectively.

Given that total no of shares are 100.

x + y + z = 100 ...(1)

300x + 200y + 5z = 10000 ...(2)

So here,

300x + 200y + 5z = 10000

60x + 40y + z = 2000

60x + 40y + 100 - x - y = 2000

59x + 39y = 1900

This eqn can be satisfied by multiple solution.

From the options, x = 17 & y = 23 satisfy eqn,

LHS = 59×17 + 39×23

LHS = 1900

LHS = RHS

Hence, answer is 17 and 23.

thanks dear...
