Given :

Raj is 5 years younger than Ravi.

4 years later, Ravi will be twice as old as Raj.

To Find :

Present Age of Ravi and Raj .

Solution :

$\longmapsto\tt{Let\:Present\:Age\:of\:Ravi\:be=x}$

As Given that Raj is 5 years younger than Ravi . So ,

$\longmapsto\tt{Present\:Age\:of\:Raj=x-5}$

After 4 years :

$\longmapsto\tt{Age\:of\:Ravi=x+4}$

$\longmapsto\tt{Age\:of\:Raj=x-5+4=x-1}$

A.T.Q :

$\longmapsto\tt{2(x-1)=x+4}$

$\longmapsto\tt{2x-2=x+4}$

$\longmapsto\tt{2x-x=4+2}$

Value of x is 6 .

Therefore :
