Raj spent 2/7 of his pocket money on a shirt.he also spent 4/7 of it on a pair of jeans.what fraction of his money did he spend more on buying the pair of jeans than the shirt

Let the salary of a person be x.

Investment on clothes- (2/5)x

Investment on food and milk- (3/4)x

Leftover money- 450

Then according to question,

(2/5)x + (3/4)x +450 = x

8x+15x/20 +450 = x

23x/20 +450 = x

23x/20 - x = 450

23x-20x/20 = 450

3x/20 = 450

3x = 450 *20

3x = 9000

x = 3000

The salary of a person is Rs 3000.
