Time taken for Homework,

By Raj = 2 whole 1 / 4 hours

= 9 / 4 hours

By Seema = 8 / 3 hours

Comparison -

Raj = 9 / 4 = (9 × 3) / (4 × 3) = 27 / 12

Seema = 8 / 3 = (8 × 4) / (3 × 4) = 32 / 12

Clearly, (27 / 12) < (32 / 12)

Hence, Raj took less time.

By How much -

(32 / 12) - (27 / 12) hours

= (32 - 27) / 12 hours

= (5 / 12) hours

Hence, Raj took less time to complete his homework by (5 / 12) hours

raj will complete his work in9/4 hours and seema will complete her work her work in 8/3 hours on taking l.c.m of denominators so we will find that raj will do work in 27/12 hours and seema will do in 32/12 hours so Raj will do in short time
