Answer:

Raja: 22

Dolly: 33

Step-by-step explanation:

let raja's money = x

let dollars money = 55-x

x/4 = 1/6 × (55-x)

6x/4 = 55-x

3x/2 = 55-x

3x/2+x = 55

5x/2 = 55

5x = 110

x = 22

55-x = 55-22 = 33

\large{\underline{\sf{\pink{Required\:Answer:}}}}

  • Raja's share = Rs 22

  • Dolly's share = Rs 33

\large{\underbrace{\sf{\red{Solution:}}}}

  • Total amount = Rs 55

  • Let Raja share be Rs x.

  • Let Dolly share be Rs y.

So,

➡ ⠀ \sf{x+y=55}        ⠀⠀⠀⠀  (1)

According to the question :-

\blue{\implies \:\:} \sf{x/4=y/6=k}

➣ x = 4k

➣ y = 6k

  • Substituting values....in equation (1) we get,

\purple{\implies \:\:} \sf{4k+6k=55}

\purple{\implies \:\:} \sf{10k=55}

\purple{\implies \:\:} \sf{k=\dfrac{55}{10} }

\purple{\implies \:\:} \sf{k=5.5 }

Therefore,

{\star\:}  Ajay's share = x = 4k

\orange{\implies \:\:} \sf{x=4 \times 5.5 }

\orange{\implies \:\:} \sf{x=Rs \:22 }

{\star\:}  Dolly's share = y = 6k

\green{\implies \:\:} \sf{y=6 \times 5.5 }

\green{\implies \:\:} \sf{y=Rs\:33 }

To check :-

→   \bf{ x+y=55}

→   \bf{ 33+22=55}
