as he have 4 tickets and the total no of tickets sold were 12 so we will divide 4/12

= so the anser is 1/3

To Find:

The probability that raja will win at least one price​

Solution:

Let the event where Raja will not win any price = E

Thus,

Number of ways of taking 4 tickets from 9 = n (E)= 9C4

Number of ways of taking 4 tickets from 12 = n(S) 12C4

Probability that Raja will not win any price -

n(E)/n(S)

= 9C4/ 12C4

= (9 × 8 × 7 × 6/ 4 × 3 × 2 × 1) / (12 × 11 × 10 × 9/ 4 × 3 × 2 × 1)

= 14/55

Probability that Raja will at least one price -

= 1 - 14/55

= 55-14/55

= 41/55

Answer: Probability that raja will win at least one price​ is 41/55
