After 12 years age of Ashok = ( X +12) years


After 12 years age of Rajan = ( 3X +12 ) years




According to question,




( 3X + 12) = 2 ( X + 12)





3X + 12 = 2X + 24





3X - 2X = 24 - 12




X = 12



Present age of Ashok = X = 12 years




And,


Present age of ranjan = 3X = 3 × 12 = 36 years.
