The number of Days Rajan can complete a work = 24.

Then Rajan 1-day work = 1/24   ---- (1)

The number of Days Amit can complete a work = 30.

Then Amit's 1 -day work = 1/30.   ---- (2)

From (1) and (2), 

1/24 + 1/30 = 9/120

                   = 3/40.

If they work together they can complete the work in 40/3 (or) 13.33 days.
