Given:

The marked price of the refrigerator=Rs.6,000

Discount=25%

Further discount=Rs.1,096

To find:

The final amount paid by Rajan

Solution:

The final amount paid by Rajan is Rs.3,404.

We can find the amount by following the given process-

We know that the amount of discount is calculated on the marked price of the product.

The marked price of the refrigerator=Rs.6,000

Discount=25%

So, the amount of discount=25% of 6,000

=25/100×6,000

=1/4×6,000

=Rs.1,500

Now, the selling price of the refrigerator= Marked price of the refrigerator- discount

=6,000-1,500

=Rs.4,500

At this selling price, a further discount of Rs.1,096 is given.

The new selling price= Selling price of the refrigerator- further discount

=4,500-1,096

=Rs.3,404

So, Rajan paid Rs.3,404.

Therefore, the final amount paid by Rajan is Rs.3,404.
