Rajashan is sparsely populated while costal plains of Ganga are densely populated

because rajasthan has poor availability of water than cosatal plains of Ganga. less availability of water make rajasthan a dry land in comparison to coastal plains of Ganga.that is why coastal plains of Ganga is more favourable

The gangetic plain are mostly populated because it is mainly made up of fertile alluvial soil. which has resulted in increased agricultural activities. besides the region drained by prominent rivers. Thus fertile soil, presence of many rivers, favourable climate and the availability of flat terrain have made this region of the most populated areas. while Rajasthan are sparsely populated because they do not have fertile soils and rivers. they have hot climatic conditions and areas are mostly covered with sands.
