Rajat asked his teacher this question: " The constitution is a fifty year old and therefore outdated book. No one took my consent for implementing it. It is written in such tough language that I cannot understand it. Tell me why should I obey this document?" If you were the teacher, how would you answer Rajat?

The Indian Constitution is not an outdated book. It represents fundamental rights , ideals, Universal values. Our constitution has been amended from time to time. Amendment is one of the method by which constitution are kept in harmony with the changing circumstances.Rajat should obey the constitution because the Indian Constitution has been framed by the constituent assembly and it has not be imposed upon us. All Powers were derived from the people. The constitution is founded on the authority of the people, no state or group of states can destroy it .No state can go out of the Indian Union.
