Solutions :-

We have,

Cost of chair = Rs 3400

Transportation charge = Rs 200

Repairing charge = Rs 400

Total cost price (C.P.) of chair

= Rs (3400+200+400) = Rs 4000

Selling price (S.P.) of chair = Rs 4800

Now,

Rs 4000 <  Rs 4800

C.P. <  S.P.

After comparing S.P. and C.P.  We know that S.P. is greater than C.P.

So, Profit

Profit = S.P. -  C.P.

= Rs (4800 - 4000) = Rs 800

Profit % = (profit × 100)/ C.P. %

= (800 × 100) 4000 %

= 80000/4000 %

= 20 %

Hence,

His overall gain percent is 20 %
