Rajeev is painting 18 identical boxes. He paints the top and bottom with red colour and the remaining four faces with blue colour. He paints a total of 3.1680 square m area with blue color. If each box is 32 cm long and 22cm deep, what is the breadth of each box?​

so LSA of one box = 2h(l + w)

= 2 × 22(32+w)

= 1408 + 44w

he painted 18 boxes = 18 × LSA of 1 box

= 18 × (1408 + 44w) .......... 2

since both 1 and 2 are total area painted both are equal.

31680 = 18 × (1408 + 44w)

31680/18 = 1408 + 44w

1760 = 1408 + 44w

1760 - 1408 = 44w

352 = 44w

352/44= w

w = 8 cm

so the width is 8cm
