Odometer reading at the start of trip= 4200km

Odometer reading at the end of trip= 4460km

Total distance= 4460-4200

= 260km.

Total time= 4hr 20min or 4 +  \frac{1}{3}

 =  \frac{13}{3}

Therefore,

average speed =  \frac{total \: distance}{total \: time}

 =  \frac{260}{ \frac{13}{3} }

 =  \frac{260}{13}  \times 3

 = 20 \times 3

 = 60km {h}^{ - 1}

In m/s

 = 60 \times  \frac{5}{18}

 = 16.66m {s}^{ - 1}

Average velocity: \frac{displacement}{time}

Displacement= 0m

 =  \frac{0}{ \frac{13}{3} }

 = 0m {s}^{</em></strong><strong><em>-</em></strong><strong><em>2}
