Dr. Rajendra Prasad was the first president of independent India.

He was one of the prominent leaders of the Indian Nationalist Movement alongside Jawaharlal Nehru, Vallabhbhai Patel and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

He was one of those passionate individuals who gave up a lucrative profession as a lawyer and professor to pursue a greater goal of attaining freedom for the country.

He was also the chairman of the Constituent Assembly. As the chairman o of the constituent assembly his role was to ensure that every person in the assembly got a chance to present his or her views and to ensure that the debates channelled in a positive direction so that the Constitution comes into being with minimum flaw.

hope it will help you!!
