Rajesh and Rajiv can do a work in 18 hours. They worked together for 8 hours and then Rajesh left the
work How long will Rajtake to finish the work if Rajiy alone can do it in 27 hours?

10 days*6 hours=60 man- hours to complete the work alone, hence output is 1/60 of the total work/ hour…..(1)

15 days *8 hours= 120 man-hours to complete the work alone, hence output is 1/120 of total work/ hour……(2)

Together, their output would of total work be 1/60+1/120=3/120 or 1/40 of total work/hour; at 10 hours/day working, output /day= 1/40*10=1/4 of total work/day.
