Acc to the question, Rajesh has a container which has a mixture of wine and water in it in the ratio 4:1.

Amount of wine = 4/5.

Amount of water = 1/5

Let the amount spilled out be y.

Then present amount of the wine will be (4/5 - 4y/5).

Then present amount of the water will be (1/5 - y/5 + y).

wine : water = (4/5 - 4y/5) : (1/5 - y/5 + y) = 3 : 2

or, (4 - 4y) : (1 + 4y) = 3 : 2

or, 8 - 8y = 3 + 12y.

or, 20y = 5

or, y = 1/5 [Ans]

Therefore, Rajesh has added 20% of water.
