Rajesh has two types of fields, one in the form of a square area 144msquare and another is in the form of a rectangle of sides 16m and 8m .Rajesh wants to fence his fields. So he gave this work to Ramesh for square fields and Sarita for rectangular field.

1)length of fencing of square field

side of square=s

but , area of square is 144m^2

so,area of square is s×s

s×s=144

s^2=144

s=√144

s=12

side=12

perimeter of square is 4s

perimeter is 4×12=48m

2)length of fencing of rectangular field

length=16m

width=8m

perimeter of rectangle is 2(l+b)

=2(16+8)

=2(24)

=48m.
