==> Let the age of his father be x

==> Rakesh’s age = x - 19 after 5 yrs

==> Father age = x + 5

==> Rakesh age = x - 19 + 5

= x - 14

According to the question

= X - 19 + 5/x + 5

= 2 / 3 3 ( x - 14 )

= 2 ( x + 5 ) 3x -42

= 2x + 10 3x - 2x

= 10 + 52

x = 52

Answer:

Let the present age of father be x.

So age of Rajesh is x-19

Five years later, according to the condition,

(x-19+5)/(x+5) = 2/3

Or, 3(x-14) = 2(x+5)

Or, 3x-42 = 2x+10

Or, x = 52.

Hence, present age of father is 52 and of Rajesh is 52-19= 33.

PrithwiCC: definitely put the units or else the whole labour goes in vain. 52 years, 33 years. Sorry, I missed it too.
