Given:- Rajesh participated in a 21 -km marathon. He completed 14 km in 2 hours.

Komal too participated in the same marathon. Her speed was half of that of Rajesh's speed, both of them ran at a uniform speed.

To Find:- how long did Komal take to complete the marathon?

Answer:- Total Distance = 21km .

Time for which he ran 14km = 2 hr .

Hence , the speed = Distance/time = 14km/2hr = 7km / hr .

If Komal's speed was half then , her speed = 7km /2 = 3.5km/hr .

Hence , time taken by her = 21km / 3.5km hr^-1 = 6 hours .

Hence the time taken by Komal is 6hrs.
