Answer:

Given :

Raj sold his scooter to rahim at 8% loss and Rahim in turn sold the same scooter to prem at 5% gain. If prem paid 14490 for the scooter.

Find :

(a) The S.P and C.P of the scooter for Rahim.

(a) The S.P and C.P of the scooter for Rahim.(b) The S.P and C.P of the scooter for Raj.

Using formula:

C.P = 100/(100 + Profit%) S.P

Calculation :

= 100/(100 + 5) 14490

= 13800

Hence, 13800 would be the cost price of Rahim.

= 100/(100 - 8) 13800

= 15000

hence, 15000 would be the cost price

hence, 15000 would be the cost priceof Raj.

Therefore,

CP, SP of Rahim: 13800, 14900.

CP, SP of Raj: 15000, 13800.
