Given,

Rajesh sold scooter to Rahim at 8% loss

Rahim sold scooter to Prem at 5% profit.

CP of Prem = 14490.

___________________________________________________________

CP of Prem will be SP of Rahim that is 14490.

So, CP of Rahim = 100/(100+gain%) * SP

= 100/(100+5) * 14490

= 100/105 * 14490

= 13800

Now CP of Rahim will be SP of Rajesh that is 13800.

So, CP of Rajesh = 100/(100-8) * 13800

= 100/92 * 13800

= 15000

So, we get,

(1) The S.P. and the C.P. of the scooter for Rahim is :

SP of Rahim = 14490

CP of Rahim = 13800

(2) The S.P. and the C.P. of the scooter for Rajesh is :

SP of Rajesh = 13800.

CP of Rajesh = 15000.

Given :

→ Raj sold his scooter to rahim at 8% loss and Rahim in turn sold the same scooter to prem at 5% gain. If prem paid ₹14490 for the scooter.

Find :

(a) The S.P and C.P of the scooter for Rahim.

(b) The S.P and C.P of the scooter for Raj.

Using formula :

★ C.P = 100/(100 + Profit℅) S.P

Calculation :

= 100/(100 + 5) 14490

= 13800

Hence, 13800 would be the cost price of Rahim.

= 100/(100 - 8) 13800

= 15000

→ hence, 15000 would be the cost price of Raj.

Therefore ,

→ CP, SP of Rahim: 13800, 14900.

→ CP, SP of Raj: 15000, 13800.
