Step-by-step explanation:

Money deposited by Rajini = ₹ 3000

Time = 3

Rate = 10%

Then, we know the formula of Simple interest I = (P × R × T)/100

I= (3000× (10) × 3)/100

I = ₹ 900

Amount = P + I

= 3000 + 900

= ₹ 3900

Now,

Money deposited by Mohini = ₹ 4000

Time = 2½ = 5/2

Rate = 10%

Then, we know the formula of Simple interest I = (P × R × T)/100

I= (3000× (10) × (5/2))/100

I = ₹ 1000

Amount = P + I

= 4000 + 1000

= ₹ 5000

The difference of the amounts received by them will be = 5000 – 3900

= ₹1100

Answer:

Rajini

p=3000

r=10%

t=3

P*T*R/100

3000*10*3/100

30*10*3

900 = interest

Amount= p+I

            = 3900

Mohini

p=4000

r=10

t=2 years and 3 months

(in this one we have to calculate differently for 2 years and differently for 3 months)

2 years

4000*10*2/100

40*10*2

800= interest

3 month (= 1/4 of a year)

4000*10*1/100*4

40,000/400

400/4

100/1

= 100/-

Total for Mohini = 800+100

900/-

A= 900+4000

4900/-

Mohini got ₹1000 more than Rajini

hope it helps
