Answer:

Let the present age of Raj and Rajitha be 4x and 9x.

Now,

9x = 2(9x - 12) - 3 \\

 9x = 18x - 24 - 3 \\

 9x = 18x - 27 \\

 27 = 18x - 9x \\

 27 = 9x \\

 \frac{27}{9} = x \\

 x = 3

Raj's present age

 = 4x = 12 \: years

After 5 years Raj's age will be,

12 + 5 = 17 \: years

Therefore,

Correct option A) 17 years

Answer:

OptionA

Step-by-step explanation:

Ratio of present age of Raj's and Rajitha's is 4:9.

Let the age of Raj and Rajitha be 4x and 9x.

According to the given condition,

9x = 2(9x - 12) - 3

9x = 18x - 24 - 3

9x = 18x - 27

9x = 27

x = 3.

So, Raj's age after 5 years =  12 + 5 = 17 years.

Hope it helps you.
