Answer:

\bold{\frac{31}{40}}

Step-by-step explanation:

\orange{\dagger} \red{\underline{Question:-}}

Rajiv eaten 3/8 portion of gauva he having. Sanjiv eaten 2/5 portion of gauva he having. What portion did both have eaten altogether?

\orange{\dagger} \red{\underline{Solution:-}}

\bold{Rajiv \:eaten=\frac{3}{8}\:path \:of\:gauva}

\bold{Sanjiv \:eaten=\frac{2}{5}\:portion\: \:of\:gauva}

Now,we should add the both the fractions because they ask altogether

\Rightarrow \bold{\frac{3}{8} +\frac{2}{5} }

Denominators are different then we should do LCM

LCM of 8 and 5 is

Multiples of 8 = 8,16,24,32,\red{40},48,5,.64,72,80

Multiples of 5 = 5,10,15.20,25,30,35,\red{40},45,50

\bigstar Common factor is = 40

\bold{LCM\:of\:8,5\:is\:40}

\Rightarrow \bold{\frac{5\times3\:+\:8\times2}{40}}

\Rightarrow \bold{\frac{15+16}{40}}

\Rightarrow \bold{\frac{31}{40}}

\pink{Therefore,they\:\:eaten\:\:altogether = \frac{31}{40}}
