Concpet:

Arithmetic Progression (AP) is a sequence of numbers in order, in which the difference between any two consecutive numbers is a constant value

s=n/2(2a₁+(n-1)d)

Given:

Rajive gets pocket money from his father every day out of the pocket money he saves 2.75₹ on first day and on each succeeding day he increases his savings by 25paise

Find:

total money saved by Rajive on 30th day

Solution:

On first day he has 2.75Rs

On hte next day he saves 3.00Rs

So, we can sya its a arithmetic progression

where,a₁=2.75 and d=0.25, n=30

s=n/2(2a₁+(n-1)d)

  =15(2.75x2+29x.25)

   =191.25Rs

Therefore, the total money saved by Rajive at 30th day is 191.25Rs
