Given :   Raja and manju were paid Rs.4800 for a work which Raju alone can do in 10 days and manju  alone in 12 days. They finished the work in 5 days along with anand

To Find : Amount paid to raju & anand

Solution:

Raju alone can do in 10 days

Raju 1 day work  = 1/10

Raju 5 days work = 5/10  = 1/2

Raju was paid = (1/2) * 4800 = Rs 2400

Manju  alone can do  in 12 days.

Manju 1 day work  = 1/12

Manju 5 days work = 5/12

Raju + Manju  1 day work  = 1/2 + 5/12

= (6 + 5 ) /12

= 11/12

Anand work =   1 - 11/12  = 1/12

Anand was paid = (1/12) *4800  = 400  Rs
