Raju is suffering due to large curvature of his eye lens.
•Raju has been diagnosed with myopia or nearsightedness.
•It occurs when eye lens has large curvature.
•This results in shorter focal length.
•This in turn causes image to form before retina, rather than on retina.
•Focal length is inversely proportional to power.
•Thus formula - F = 1/D.
•F = 1/3.5 = 0.28 m.
•Negative power lens signifies requirement of concave lens.
•Concave lens are diverging in nature.
