Given :- Raju has stored 1/3 quintal onions in onions tenement. After Ganpat has store 1⁄4 quintal onions

in that tenement.Ramakant has sold 3/10 quintal onions to a merchant from that tenement. If the onion tenement’s capacity is 400 quintals then how many quintals onion will remain in that tenement?

Solution :-

→ Onion stored by Raju = (1/3)

→ Onion stored by Ganpat = (1/4)

so,

→ Total onion stored in tenement = (1/3) + (1/4) = 7/12

now,

→ Onion sold by ramakant = (3/10)

then,

→ Onion left in tenement = (7/12) - (3/10) = (35 - 18)/60 = (17/60)

now, given that,

→ 1 = 400

→ (17/60) = 400 * (17/60) = 113.33 ≈ 113 onion (Ans.)
