Raju is 19 years younger than his cousin.after 5 years their ages will be in ratio 2:8.find their parents find in simple equations class 7

Here is ur answer...

let the present age of Raju 's younger cousin is x year .

then raju age will be (x+19).

and again ...after 5 year ...

raju"s cousin age will be (x+5) year ......1)

and raju age will be ,(x+19+5)year.......2)

now,here ratio is given after 5 year ...is 2: 8

so,,,x+5
--------------=2/8
x+19+5

=>x+5/x+24=2/8

=.>8x+40=2x+48

=>6x=8

=>x=8/6

=>x=4/3..=1 +1/3year .age of Raju"s cousin

and ... present age of Raju is 1 +1/3+19

=>20+1/3years .
