  • Raju is 19 years younger than his cousin . after 5 years their ages will be in the ratio 2:3.

To find :-

  • Present ages

Solution :-

Let the present age of Raju's cousin be x then Raju be x + 15

  • After 5 years

→ Raju's cousin age = x + 5

→ Raju age = x + 19 + 5 = x + 24

  • According to the given condition

→ x + 5/x + 24 = ⅔

→ 3(x + 5) = 2(x + 24)

→ 3x + 15 = 2x + 48

→ 3x - 2x = 48 - 15

→ x = 33

Hence,

  • x = 33

Therefore,

  • Raju age = x = 33 years

  • Raju's cousin age = x + 19 = 52 years
