Let the present age of his cousin be ‘x’ years.
Let the present age of Raju be ‘x-19’ years.
After 5 years:
Age of cousin=x+5 years
Age of Raju=x-19+5 years=x-14 years
Ratio of their ages after 5 years=2:3
x-14/x+5=2/3
3(x-14)=2(x+5)[cross multiplication]
3x-42=2x+10
3x-2x=10+42
x=52
x-19=52-19=33
The age of Raju is 33 years.
The age of Raju’s cousin is 52 years.
