In plants almost every part, such as the leaves, stem, roots and even the deepest placed cells respire. The stem respires through lenticles.

YES  ALL THE PARTS OF A PLANT RESPIRE EVEN THE INNERMOST CELLS OF PLANTS RESPIRE ITS NOT ONLY THE LEAVES OR THE STEM ALL THE INDIVIDUAL CELL ARE CAPABLE OF RESPIRATION.
