The cost price at which Raju purchased the bicycle is Rs. 1000.

  • Let the cost price at which Raju bought the bicycle be x.
  • Now Raju sold the bicycle to Amit at 8% profit.
  • Selling price of Raju = 1.08x.
  • Now Amit repaired the bicycle and spend Rs. 54 and sold it to Nikhil for 1134 Rs. at no profit no loss.
  • Selling price of Amit = 1.08x + 54 = 1134

(As Amit bought the bicycle for Rs. 1.08x from Raju and spend 54 rupees and then sold it for no loss and no profit ).

  • Solving the above equation, we get

1.08x = 1080

x = 1000

  • Therefore the cost price at which Raju purchased the bicycle is Rs. 1000
