Raju took some chocolates. He groups with five of them and found on chocolate was left. He also tried to make group with sith and eight and each time one chocolate was left over.what is the smallest number of chocolate Raju had ?​

Well. It depends.

So if Raju gave 1/4 of his chocolate to his friend, he has 3/4 of his chocolate left.

Now, here is the tricky part

Did he give 1/2 of his whole chocolate?

Or

Did he give 1/2 of his chocolate of the remaining chocolate (3/4)?

Either way lets solve both.

If he gave 1/2 of his whole chocolate thedn he would have (1–1/2–1/4) left which equals to 1/4 of his chocolate left.

If he 1/2 of his remaining chocolate he would have (3/4 -1/2) left which equals to 1/4 of his chocolate left.

So, either way he will have 1/4 of his chocolate left.
