raju was trying to charge a metal rod using friction .he held the rod in his left hand and started rubbing it with a felt cloth while standing bare foot on the ground .WHEN he used an electroscope to detect the charges , he found it was not charged .WHY?

The reason for this is that our body is a good conductor of heat and electricity because of the presence of many type of salts are present in our body so the charges which charged the rod passes through our body and goes to the Earth and the rod looses the charges .So, the rod isn't seen to be charged.
