Rakesh is able to complete a job in 6 days. Then, in one day he is able to complete 1/6th of the work. Hence, Rakesh work rate is 1/6.

Raman can finish the work in x days. Then, he is able to complete 1/x th work in one day. Hence, the work rate for Raman in 1/x.

Both of them together complete the work in 4 days. If they work together, in one day, 1/4th of the work is done.

Now,we can write the equation as :

\frac{1}{6}+\frac{1}{x} = \frac{1}{4}

\frac{1}{x} = \frac{1}{4}-\frac{1}{6}

\frac{1}{x} = \frac{1}{12}

x = 12

Hence, Raman completes the work in 12 days.

Solution :-

Rakesh can complete a job in 6 days.

In 1 day, He can complete = 1 / 6 part

Raman can complete a job in x days.

In 1 day, He can complete = 1 / x part

Both complete a job in 4 days.

In 1 day, Both can complete = 1 / 4 part

According to the Question,

1 / 6 + 1 / x = 1 / 4

→ 1 / x = 1 / 4 - 1 / 6

→ 1 / x = 1 / 12

→ x = 12 days

.°. Raman can complete a job in 12 days.
