Given : 600 kg of seeds for his shop which is as follow- sesame 10% cotton 15 %; caster oil 25.1. wheat 35%, maize is 15%

To Find : draw a pie chart

Solution:

Seeds        %              Central angle                     Quantity

sesame     10%           =(10/100)360  =  36°          360 kg

cotton        15 %;          =(15/100)360  =  54°          540 kg

caster oil    25 %          =(25/100)360  = 90°          900 kg

wheat         35%,          =(35/100)360  = 126°         1260 kg

maize         15%             =(15/100)360  = 54°          540 kg

Total        100%                          360°                      3600 kg

A pie chart (or a circle chart) is a circular statistical graphic, which is divided into slices to illustrate numerical proportion.

In a pie chart, the arc length of each slice (and consequently its central angle and area), is directly proportional to the quantity it represents.

In a pie chart, each sector represents a particular part of data

and  the magnitude of the sector is directly proportional to the magnitude of the specific part of the data
