south and west negative direction.
20-10-35+5=-10

The correct option would be none of these

Let the starting point of Rakesh be the origin i.e. (0,0)

Walking 20 m towards east means final position is (20,0)

Then walking 10 m towards south means end position is (20,-10)

Then walking 35 m towards west gives end position as (-15,-10)

Then again walking 5 m towards east gives final position as ( -10, -10 )

Hence, the final direction is south - west

And final distance would be√(-10)² + (-10)² = √200 = 10√2 m
