Here is the answer :

Day 1 = $\frac{1}{3}$

Day 2 = $\frac{1}{8}$

Day 3 = $\frac{1}{12}$

So, total of 3 days :

1/3 + 1/8 + 1/12

=> 8+3+2/24

=> 13/24 of the whole book
